A new decision has been made by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg according to which parental leave policy is extended to full-time release employees outside the United States.
All new parents will be provided with 4 months of paid leave regardless of location, gender, age. The law will enter into force from January 1.
Zuckerberg’s decision was seen as advanced in Silicon Valley and was viewed as a strong endorsement from a high-technology industry top executive in terms of family.
Many technology companies in Silicon Valley are in a hurry to leave allowances and other benefits in order to help to recruit and regain employees.
Actually the decision is good enough, but many high-tech employees do not take advantage of such benefits being afraid that they will fall behind at work or leave some promotions.
